the year in p/review is upon us

November 20th, 2009 by Thalia Kehoe Rowden

Last week was about listening one-on-one, this week is about listening to the Holy Spirit through each other, as we reflect on the highlights and lowlights of 2009 and start asking about what God might have in store for us in 2010.

If you haven’t already, download the reflection sheet from your email account, or use the copy you were given on Sunday, and prayerfully fill in your personal view of how things have gone this year for you-and-us.  Bring it along on Sunday to share in up to three ways:

  • share at the microphone during the service – 10-20ish people can do this
  • leave your filled-in sheet on the communion table to be attached to the church Annual Report in February
  • keep a copy for yourself and add it to our blog discussion that we’ll launch on Sunday morning – yes, right here!  People’s reflections will debut at the service, and then you can add them to the blog, especially if you’d rather not speak up the front.

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

This is me experimenting with a blog – a first time for everything. It has taken me a while to get this far. It needs a dbl clk!!
My year has been an amazing one of faith, disconnection, and moments of despair. Fortunately the last one was just moments. We now have a place to live, both of us with jobs, Simon with a job, Charlotte the perfect hostel. So it really feels like there is a plan and while it feels a bit scary it also feels like a big adventure. Now I’m going to push submit and I wonder where this will go to.
