Curating (Murray L)

March 3rd, 2011 by Thalia Kehoe Rowden

A few years ago, if you had said to me that I would be a church curator, I would have said, never- no way!  Things change and now I consider it an important part of my life.

I say “important” rather than “fun” and I still get nervous; and afterwards I always feel that “I did my best” rather than “that went well”. However what makes it such a great experience is that I now have a sense of responsibility for the church service because I realise that what happens only happens because someone tried their best.

I guess I have gone from being more of a passive participant to an active one. I would encourage anyone who can stand on their feet for an hour or so to give it a go even just once! Now that’s getting out of the boat!

    Thanks heaps for this, Murray.

I remember you curating straight after leg surgery, so I’m not sure there’s even a requirement to be able to stand on your feet!

    Good on you Murray!
I enjoy seeing you up front. You do a good job and it’s nice to have different styles of Curating.
