Making a difference

One of the things we are called to do as as followers of Jesus is to love those who don't know that God loves them. Here are some ways that we are seeking to make a difference in our community, in our city, in our world. Our dream is that because of what we do as individuals and together we help to make the world a better place.

In our community

Taha Wairua

Every week 200 children participate in a fun interactive learning exercise based on the Life Focus material - a values based programme produced under the umbrella of the Churches Education Commission.

School chaplaincy

We fund one of our pastors to work as a chaplain in the local primary school for one day a week. The primary role of the chaplain is to be there for others - this involves not just the children but also the staff. Over the years this has meant assisting with marriages, funerals and the pastoral care of 350 staff and children.

Kingdom Resources West

We have a team of people who are trained to help with budget advice and dealing with debt. For a fuller explanation go here.

Parenting Courses

In order to help parents learn how to be even better parents we facilitate a 'Parenting Toolbox' course which we run at the local Primary School. This excellent 6 week course has all sorts of ideas on how to help us all get through the parenting years.
